Look at the root cause of these last-second drop-outs. The war is risky; none of us has to actually pull the trigger; we can all let it go ahead while expressing "technical disapproval" that will distance us from any failure. I lean in favor of the war, but find myself constantly tempted to take this cop-out.

I continue to argue that the war should take place. I still find it obvious that I need to respond to Bush's failures in the way he has implemented the push to war, his needlessly costly approach to diplomacy. My response is to start shopping democrats for 2004.
