I have serious qualms about a site that publishes pictures of Daniel Pearl's body with its throat slit, and that Olympia, WA protester's body with what looks like bulldozer wounds on her face.
Not that I disagree with your point about the emotional power of these images, and I definitely found it hard to make myself click on the links -- harder after I saw the first few.
In a lot of ways, Ogrish sucks. Read some of the comments on that site and you'll find that the people who visit it are basically gore-hungry and complain when something isn't graphic enough. However, I don't know another place to find pictures that are sufficiently graphic to get the point across. And we should keep in mind that graphic pictures like these are broadcast in the rest of the world.
