I don't think you can strike Liz Phair off your "list of workshipped artists" without having listened to the record. You know she rocks. She's been rocking you for years. Give it a shot. As for an unembarrassing form of career suicide? Maybe that guy from Office Space. The one who figured out what to do with all the leftover pennies. That guy was supersmart. Does that count?

I read the same review and am experiencing the same dilemma. The picture of Phair in "bubble-gum pop" mode really is embarrassing.
