The point is significant because it simply reinforces in the strongest possible terms what opponents of the war said all along, especially before the fighting started --- that the WAR itself and the fact that America has the weapons to easily beat up Iraq, mean nothing because the hard part is achieving anything constructive once the fighting ends and you have to deal with a hostile population.
Or to put in in terms understandable by a population incapable of distinguishing between TV and reality, the villain can beat up the girl as much as he likes, but he can't make her love him, and all his guns and knives won't change that.
I don't disagree with the points about Bush, I just didn't want to get into them in this post. Whatever the politics, it's important to remember that real people are being killed.
