I enjoyed Big Fat, I'll admit. But I enjoyed Bend It much, much more. It was more exuberant and more feminist than the wedding movie. I liked both movies because they immersed me for awhile in a culture that I didn't know that much about. They both have the "awwwwwww" endings, but Bend It was a movie that I left the theater saying, "Every child and parent should see this movie."
Give it a chance. And let us know what you thought.
BILB is a good movie not for anything to do with the immigrant-culture stuff, but for the fun girl-power girljock stuff. See it for that, and you won't mind all the talk of the "full Indian dinner."

Deal. I want to see it, but that "like Big Fat" comment scared me.

Not to bring the conversation down a level or anything, but Keira Knightly? Yowza.

And Keira's pretty, too: backless dress!
