Re: Chilly? Put on a Sweater.

Wow. I thought the O'Reilly suit had 'pathological weirdo' written all over it, but this is even better. What a poor decision on Luskin's part...was there something about Atrios' tone that suggested 'yeah, I'll back down after a standard lawyer letter'? We're all laughing at you, Donald.

They must know the suit is without merit, but were likely counting on the fact that Atrios wouldn't want to have his identity revealed, which could happen even if the suit is frivolous.

I liked Billmon's take best of all:

I, too, was recently threatened with legal action by Luskin, for posting an excerpt from a rather absurd e-mail he sent me. But apparently I didn't rate a lawyer letter. [...] In any case, my reply to Luskin was, and I quote: "See you in court, asshole."
That offer still stands.

That's good. Billmon's anonymous too, so I wonder why Luskin didn't try the same thing with him. He must be getting a kick out of all this.

Oops. Billmon says he's not anonymous to Luskin. That explains it.

Your point about the fellow-travellers is the key, I think. I saw two posts in the Corner today knocking Luskin. I'm not sure he foresaw that.

You missed the Poor Man's response. Although possibly you may not care for Tolkien, which would explain said lack of rolling on the floor.

You guess correctly, though "not care" is closer than "not care for."
