Re: Der Kommisar's in Town

I will not reveal my score, except to say that I was rated a neo-maxie-zoom-dweebie (sp?). But then again, that's not really news to me.

You already admitted you can barely read, I don't see how this could hurt.

106.5, baby, if it were a fever, you'd be dead. Come get some, DeLong!

BOOYAH!

That's my post, btw.

STILL BOOYAH!

32.45. If it were celsius it still wouldn't be a fever.

105.5, but I got a 5 point bonus for telling him I saw it here on unfogged. I don't feel like I really deserved those points.

On the other hand, I missed part of the REM question due to a typo, not lack of knowledge, so clearly I was robbed of points there. I think the web page knew what I meant, or should have.

And I think I should have received partial credit for that tricky Rick Springfield question. I mean it's a SONG, who the hell knows how the guy's name is spelled? And why would he spell it like that anyway? Robbery again, I tell you.

So let's call it a wash, shall we?

Booyah? Maybe???

You guys are good (not you Ben). And funny. But mostly now you're scaring me. I got dinged for some spelling too, but not enough to get me anywhere near 100. You got that KISS stuff, and Motley Crue?

Did you get colitas? That was my moment of pride (Straight Dope).

Sadly only 44.5. I'm thoroughly shamed. (But I didn't go for any extra 'who sent you' points at least.) I put 'red red rain' instead of 'red red wine'. Doesn't Peter Gabriel repeat 'red' twice, in which case I ought to get credit? Couple typos, too. Ah, well.

95. Respectable.

Mitch, as Superman once noted: you rock so naturally. I got the unfogged 5-point bonus (lame!), I missed out on Jessie for the same tedious reason, and, tragically, I missed the points for "careless whisper" because I repeated the word in the present tense. This from someone who's fully equipped to karaoke "Young Guns" from the early Wham! No justice, no peace.

Did someone just write "early Wham!"?

Hmmm. I think there's a problem with this test. I just took it again and I got a *completely* different score (155.5). How can this quiz purport to be an accurate measure of intelligence when the results vary so widely? I'm sure if I had taken a Kaplan course I could do even better.

Sadly, fontana labs, I actually don't rock all that naturally. I just have this thing for figuring out lyrics and a knack for remembering them, even if I don't like the song. Also, I was traumatized by karaoke during a long residence in China, so since then I just can't bring myself to rock the mic. Tragic, I know, such a waste of my incredible singing talent. But anyway thanks for the encouragement!

Oh and I did get "colitas" the first time through buccept I mispelled it "coletas". Again, I think the webpage knew what I meant. Talk about uptight!

And even thought it said "bonus" next to it, on the first time through I didn't realize I would actually get extra points for saying unfogged sent me, especially not a whopping 5 extra points. It was a good faith mistake, not points mongering.

I thought it was "carnitas." Yum.

"Warm smell of carnitas." Heh heh.

Back in college, I had a guy swear up and down that they were talking about a bowel infection, which certainly changes the context of the rising warm smell a bit. When I told him that colitis was a medical condition and colitas were desert flowers, I'd never seen a person turn redder.

Hey.... Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?
