Most engineers are men. I also suspect that the divorce rates for engineers are rather lower than for the population at large---certainly Robert Lucky wrote a column talking about how Las Vegas hookers hated engineering conventions because they made so much less business.

Oh god, you're so right, and I even used to work at company staffed almost exclusively by engineers. Married, with several kids, the lot of 'em.
