To maintain the peace, prepare for war. A democracy too soft will soon perish.
WTH, I hate this guy. America is soooo peaceful. Why, we've just been a bunch of peave-loving beatnicks for the last 50 yeras, softer than soft serve ice-cream. It's a load of crock what he's implying. And jesus, can anyone tell me when building up for war has prevented war? It makes you better prepared when war comes, which I'm for, but I'm not so delusional to think that it prevents wars or attacks. I know these guys remember 9/11. But, what really gets me is that's not even the issue. The US isn't interested in preventing wars for chrissake. We've adopted a pre-emptive war strategy in the last few years. Since WWII we've been involved dozens of military operations, some large some small, and none of them started out with anyone attacking America. So, what the hell's this guy talking about? He's completely irrelevant.
