Awesome. Invading a powder keg, and throwin' off sparks...
I have to say that referring to the guy as "Dick Clarke" is really a new low in political discourse. Body and Soul points out that the White House had the book for a couple of months-- and this is the best they can do?
Obviously, I'm running with the dick jokes motiff, (Rumsfeld: I'm not the Dick here) but I'm not understanding where y'all are going with those italicized phrases.
I have to admit I like Michael's #9. And I see why Insty never links Ted anymore (I'm sure it has nothing to do with Glenn's running leap into the deep end of right-wingery; nothing at all.)
Dick Cheney is a dick to Dick Clarke.

We can leave the next one as is: And we'll only be making it right/cause we'll never be wrong together
It does seem, from passages I've seen excerpted, that he goes by "Dick," but there's a definite emphasis and repetition about the "Dick Clarke" bit.

Michael, my good man, you need to get Tylerized here.

Oddly, the lyrics keep fitting. I had to use bold instead of strike, because strikeout doesn't work in the damn comments.
And we'll only be making it right 'cause we'll never be wrong.
Together we can take it to the end of the line June.
Your love armed insurrection is like a shadow on me all of the time.
I Chalabi don't know what to do and I'm Bremer's always in the dark.
That sounds about right.
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks.
I really need you Osama tonight, forever's re-election's gonna start tonight.
Huh.

I don't know about that, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to add it to my four thousand mp3s.

I can't quite get put my finger on it, but there's something lovely to be made involving "white on rice" and "condyloma."

After (happily) needing to look up "condyloma," I can say: gross.
