Seriously though, since you're really curious, there seems to be a consensus that the ad really isn't worth commenting about, especially not at article length.
I can't say, because I can't figure out, whether I find the ad or the reactions more hilarious.
I think all three motives identified in the article are likely, and reasonable. I don't know why any might be legitimately criticized.
This is the second time I've seen the word "sellout" used to characterize them, but I'm sure that's only for lack of looking for it; I don't know why it's appropriate.
