Actually I am tired of the heel obsession, I never really understood it, and having been out of the U.S for 6 years it seems sort of quaint. So, some observations:
1. the complaint about the heels is really a class based one, those heels are yuppie girl heels.
2. They are fuck me heels, and you don't date girls who want to fuck you? Would she really fuck you? just because she's wearing those heels, is this a legally binding contract?
3. I don't like the heels either, mainly because I suppose they must be uncomfortable, and people making themselves uncomfortable in the cause of fashion strike me as being remarkably silly people.
My reaction is nearest your 3. The heels are just a symbol of many other characteristics someone wearing them can be fairly safely assumed to have (or not have).
I respectfully disagree. There's nothing like messing up a perfectly good outfit with frumpy shoes, a crime that occurs all to often here in DC. Not that anything non-heeled is by definition frumpy, since I wear a lot of flats....but I also wear a lot of heels. The key is finding heels that are comfortable to wear; they do exist. In the end, it's about being stylish, not so much with the sex-wanting.
If people are going to be reasonable, I might as well quit blogging. The heels do jump out in that picture, but, of course, it's the whole ensemble, and the hand on the hip, and the fact that she's been photographed at all, that gives me the impression that I wouldn't date this woman. Sigh...I don't begrudge anyone their stylish comfortable heels...
Wonkette is wrong as a technical matter of shoes. "Fuck-me heels" or, more commonly "fuck-me pumps," are heels that are open in the back with a strap. Heels with a closed back, whether or not you would date the wearer, are not fuck-me heels -- just regular pumps.

I wear fuck me pumps and wedgies. Strappy 5 inch pumps can be fuck me pumps if you sit on a bar stool and play with your shoes dangling and slipping them on and off like a fucking motion.
