I'm glad other people are remembering this. Billmon has argued that the Republican teflon has worn off. I think this might be a good litmus test. Will the press corps actually dare to imply that this administration is responsible for its negligence?
Perhaps it has not been properly ingrained yet, but whenever you find yourself asking a silly question such as, "How could (terrible event x) have happened under George W. Bush's fearless and infallible leadership?", the answer is always, "it's all Bill Clinton's fault."
