I think that in context "fanboyish" refers to Mr. Levy's youthful love of comic books, rather than his current love of John. That doesn't detract from the fact that the use of the word should arouse suspicions in a general sense.
Also, rambling posts of often excessive length are "stylish" now? Duly noted.
I'm pretty sure John and I got our doctorates the same year, so we're pretty close to the same age. How come he gets to be the young exotic and I'm stuck with being old and jaded?
Wait, FL. The Fantastic Four were three men and a woman, right? But John et al. are three women (incipiently anyway) and a man. From this we infer that John's superpowers are attention-getting and lurid display.
