It's the strangest thing. You know, I actually became interested in this wench about a week ago after I stumbled on an interview she gave to Al Jazeera, and I searched around for articles about her.
Danielle Pletka, vice president of the AEI and an expert on the Iraqi opposition, angrily denounced State Department officials who disparage Chalabi. "The [Defense Department] is running post-Saddam Iraq," said Pletka, almost shouting. "The people at the State Department don't know what they are talking about! Who the hell are they? Who gives a good goddamn what they think?"
Apparently, she also has a husband who works at the State Department.
Yowch. Maybe this is another 'hey, we nominated a incompetent woman, we tried to give a woman a shot' ploy. Her answers don't even address the talking points.
