Actually, what's "ick" is thinking that anyone who is perusing the lyrics you linked to would, as an afterthought, actually buy some of that Jackie Kennedy jewelry advertized on the page.
Oh damn, those are vile. I read them and thought, in the spirit of Jules Winnfield: that better be one motherfucking catchy song. But it really is.
I had a similar experience with the Frankie Goes to Hollywood (reunited!) song, Relax. I never really thought about what it was about, and then there's that part that's not a lyric at all, but what one might call a sound effect, and it was only a couple of years ago that I heard it and realized, "ooohhhhh."
I've always felt that 'Lovefool' was the best example of this. It's totally dysfunctional.
