Yeah, but I'm not in Pittsburgh. "I'll get you for this" leaves the timeframe nice and openended, and doesn't rest on any promises about a QB whose late-season performance will probably improve after he gets used to playing 16 games. As for the rest of your comment, see #3.
Big Ben = not that good. Team can't rely on him. You can't ask the guy to throw 20+ passes. Defense let them down yesterday. I wasn't surprised at how bad BR was.
baa's in ValhallaAOTW, so I can say this without having the thread revert to unseemly triumphalism.
I think I found a new candidate (via Weatherson's sidebar):
What sorts of truths are necessary but knowable only by observation and experiment? Kripke proposes two kinds of examples. The first might include Snoop Dogg = Calvin Broadus and Eminem = Marshall Mathers: true identities of the form a = b, where a and b are proper names.
don King's list of Great American Events:
1. The Thrilla in Manila
2. The Bite Fight
3. Dubya Gets Elected 1
4. Dubya Gets Elected 2
5. The Trump Wedding;
Why does this guy matter?

Are we sure that Trump is worth the bandwidth?

Er, is this "Noted without comment" in the same way as all those avant-garde paintings entitled "Untitled (whatever the real title is)"?
Ha ha, I kid. Please don't crush my career.

Kinda off topic, but Weiner, do I not recall some trash being talked in October?
Maybe "crush my career" reminded me...

I beleive the phrase in Pittsburgh is "wait till next year." (or is it "wait till McDowell clarifies himself"?)

Dude, he's a rookie. He had the best QB rating of any rookie ever. Wait five years before you call him not that good. Sheesh.

baa, you ascend into valhalla. McDowell jokes in a football thread-- it doesn't get any better than that.
