Yah, well, Gary complains even tho he's on the blogroll. At least Ogged gave Cliopatria a bloody mention. His good taste finally tips a nod in Tim's distraction, but we'll keep Unfogged on Cliopatria's blogroll (where it's been for at least a year) in hopes that Ogged finally catches up to the wisdom of diversity.
You know I love you, Ralph. The great big loophole here is that I'll put on anything that a co-blogger asks for, so maybe you should be twisting their arms.
Expect me to have a rational reason for complaining? Hey, you're recommending blogs, and didn't mention me! And, besides, what have you done for me lately, like this weekend? And furthermore, your shoes are funny looking!
Look, Halley's comet!
And that cad of an ingrate of a fiend, Ralph Luker, casting calumny in my direction, when I had Cliopatria on my blogroll for over a year, but did they ever blogroll me? Well, who can keep track, but probably not, and even if they did, I'll complain anyway!
Because I'm getting hardly any hits these days (about 38 so far today, which is about the same as this time yesterday, and that's counting searches), so all I need to do is look cross-eyed, and I see the injustice inherent in the system. Help, help, I'm being oppressed! Come see the repression inherent in the system! Fight for the right to party! Remember the Maine!
Ooh, look, something shiny....
You just hate me because I'm childfree. And beautiful.
Dude, I've mentioned this before, but I seem to be writing about lesbians all the time, because my life is like an episode of The L Word these days, and I bet you've never even visited me once.
There's no contradiction: she included a working link the first time. And shameless plugging worked. So what if she included a working link the second time too?
(Although, I would have to say it's not so much the inclusion of the link, but the quality of the writing that made this plug work for me. I went back and re-read my own subway/underground post - which I will not plug - and all I can say is that my writing needs even more work than I thought it did.)
Okay, let me clear things up. Stay with the class, boys.
I plugged my blog once (which I'll refrain from doing here) in Comment 20.
Then, when expressing my surprise in Comment 25, I tried to link the word "it". (Two notes: First, linking is new to me so I get a little excited about doing it. Second, if you move your cursor over this word, you'll see that the link is a dud--leads nowhere.)
In Comment 26, I corrected myself, including a proper link.
In this Comment (number unknown at the time of posting), I realize that I need to do the dishes before my roommate returns, and close it just so.
Ah. For me, anyway, it doesn't even show up as an ineffective link, just as plaintext. Viewing the source shows the error. Plus your name contains a functioning link. Hence my confusion.
I'll just stand here in the corner. Don't mind me.

I especially love that you didn't get the html right in those links, but I'll fix them ;)

On alternate Saturdays, I know Ogged is a sweetheart. Makes concessions to my age, doncha know.

It's only the lack of brackets which convinces me that Gary's comment above isn't ash in disguise.

Wolfson, after alienating both Blacksploitation connoisseurs and classicists, your academic career is dead in the water.

Wow. Appears diaryland went kaput. All that's up there is the Redhat/Apache congratulations on having a web server page.
Posted by tweedledopey | Link to this comment | 03-20-05 4:47 PM
Try going straight to a site on diaryland, not to diaryland.com.
Posted by ogged | Link to this comment | 03-20-05 4:48 PM
That's what I was doing. I clicked on your link. And it went poop. But now it is working, sans pictures.

Ralph, Ogged is diverse all by himself.

I wish I had read more of Emily's blog before leaving 21 so I could have called the picture "charming".
Posted by ben wolfson | Link to this comment | 03-23-05 1:01 PM
That could have been a "special moment."
Also, I liked the comment that referred to the photo of the Canal St. Martin as "hot."
Posted by eb | Link to this comment | 03-23-05 1:14 PM
Whoh, you guys read it! As it turns out, shameless plugging actually works!
Posted by Emily | Link to this comment | 03-23-05 1:23 PM
But only if you include a a working link.
Posted by Emily | Link to this comment | 03-23-05 1:25 PM

Posted by Austro | Link to this comment | 03-23-05 1:37 PM
Obtuse angles are blunt, Austro.
I'd like to shamelessly plug this post, if I may.

The non-link highlights and underlines for me, but does not appear as a link.
By the way, I posted a comment on dishes here. Just kidding: here.
I had all kinds of problems with links and other tags when I started blogging.

Ahh Sorry: German creeping in. Short for "Wohngemeinschaft" otherwise known as Digs/Pad/ yourtermhere
Posted by Austro | Link to this comment | 03-23-05 2:31 PM
I'd make a joke about how modern life is replacing "Wohngemeinschaft" with "Wohngesellschaft" but it probably wouldn't be funny.

its German: we have no humour, remember. So we' ll laugh politely anyway.
