I'll confess that there was, between miles 19 and 23, a hefty portion of "whose idea was this?" running through my head. After 23, the only thing running through my head was a steady countdown of the number of minutes until I could stop. The math got really hard at a certain point. In fact, I'd really love somebody to do a study of the effects of running stupid far on higher brain function. After I finished, I couldn't even manage "fire bad, tree pretty." Not that i'm doing much better now...
