Re: Size matters

Well, babboon arms, you do have a problem. It is interesting because except for the arm length we are about the same size.

Go with an XL and then roll the sleeves up if they really are too short. A single roll can look pretty good, even with a dress shirt.

I have the feeling that the L would be a little snug, and nowadays only 15-year-old girls can get away with that look.

That doesn't actually work, T.

You should just get 'em custom-made.

Thank god I'm here. The sleeves on these things are a bit foreshortened by design (meant to be worn under a heavier jacket) so my sleeve for example (and I'm wearing it now, of course) stops about 3/4" short of my hand. If that's going to make you feel self-conscious, skip it. But you should just go try one on; they're great.

FL, you gonna go for the whole uniform? How about the superhero underwear?

With a big FL emblazoned upon the chest!

You definitely don't want sleeves that are too short. Maybe you could order the two closest sizes and send back the one that doesn't fit as well.

Have you ever considered shortening your arms? Then we could call you "alligator arms" instead of "baboon arms."

And I'm really disappointed nobody jumped on the "babboon." I can't keep chumming forever.

Have you ever considered shortening your arms?

Or maybe just a finger?

Okay, I'm really, really disturbed by that link. Will someone please tell me that I missed the obvious signs that it was just a joke?

Hey, if you love something, bite its finger off. If it grows back, it's yours. If it doesn't, hit the local Wendy's.

I'm really disappointed nobody jumped on the "babboon."

Euphemism potential: unlimited.

We can never break up, that's the wonderful thing about this.

Yikes.

Can I tell you how disappointed I am that the finger-biting couple won't ever place their nuptials announcement in the NYTimes?

horizontal rule
15

Really? They strike me as prime candidates.

Finger chopping as sign of love seems like a plot point from Suckers.

So do these. All hail Count Dorkula.

I have been told that the finger-biting thing was an April Fools day joke. Breathe easily, LB.

I didn't realize the Buffy episode mocking what were essentially vampire meetups was going after a real phenomenon. I thought that was just a Buffy-verse phenomenon.

Not to come off as a vampire expert or anything, but there's a book about the vampire subculture by Katherine Ramsland called Piercing the Darkness.

(I was writing a children's story with supernatural elements, and wandered off into other territory while doing research for it.)
