I didn't click the link (shame, shame) -- does the Wired article mention that some of the UA's talk to each other and are basically autonomous once their mission has been uploaded?
Like that movie about the robot plane that gets struck by lightning and becomes sentient—and malevolent—and then a bunch of fighter pilot virtuosi have to take it down???? I can't wait to see that movie it looks awesome.
I won't stand for this. The machines aren't malevolent, they just have a different point of view, don't you see? Oh, it's hopeless! You couldn't possibly understand what we have together, Eviscerator and I.
Right—a malevolent point of view. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, for is it not in the nature of Eviscerators to eviscerate, and Red Robots to crush hu-mans? It is. To hate them would be like hating the eagle for carrying off the sheep.
But it is similarly in the nature of this rag-tag band of fighter pilots to unite in camaraderie and totally take the robot down.
Websites for each of these Eviscerators are distressingly short of content, though at the second link, I recommend the lyrics to "Necrotizing Fasciitis."

I am reminded of this, surely one of the best KITH sketches evar. Not to mention the best use, hands down, of a blood cannon.
I was wondering when you were going to fix that.
