Personally I subscribe to the theory that a marriage takes place when two people meet and simultaneously realize this is the best they are going to get.
But who says Clive Owen's wife is average looking? She's a hottie.
I was going to say, she's gorgeous. She's not actressy looking (i.e., not the frail body-type we beat to death in the Dove thread) but in person would probably be more appealing than lots of actresses. I do have to agree with Tia about her clothes sense, though, some of those outfits are just odd.
Up to a certain point it's considered virtuous; after that point, the wife starts to look like a beard. For instance, everyone assumes Hugh Jackman is gay because he's better-looking (and younger) than his wife.

Maybe he's not noble and selfless, but just has the rare kink for average-size women.

Cruel, ogged, to hotlink the word "hottie" and then lead me nowhere.
Did you also glue quarters to the sidewalk as a child?

what Tripp said.
Cripes, if that's considered "settling" for someone then, ... then... well something.
She's friggin hot.

By your logic, isn't Roger Federer the more virtuous for marrying a hottie but then sticking with her through thick and thin?
Posted by Armsmasher | Link to this comment | 09-27-05 3:56 PM
Hottie inflation.
Posted by ogged | Link to this comment | 09-27-05 3:56 PM
Federer still has hope, though.

Hasn't anyone told you it's not nice to beat frail-body types to death?

Is it just a trick of the camera or did Federer's girlfriend's head double in size?
Posted by apostropher | Link to this comment | 09-27-05 10:47 PM
I think she just put on a lot of weight.

Frail body-types do not feel pleasure or pain, so you can treat them pretty much anyway you want.

I know I purposefully changed the hyphenation from 14 in 15 in order to make a joke, but am unsure if John is doing the same thing to me.

WD I didn't get the original joke, so I repeated it.

Oh, *Roger Federer*. I thought you said Kevin Federline, about which pretty much the same could be said.
