What kind of odds does "mortal lock" translate to? Also, if you could call b-wo a little bitch again, I'm sure everyone would appreciate it, though his broken arm perhaps mitigates things.
I grew up a Cubs fan, so, yeah, go Cubs. After that, since we are dealing with alternate realities here, can I live in the "Vikings win the Super Bowl" universe?
On the other hand, if all that happens there won't be anything left to live for, will there?
Re 13: First in shoes, first in booze, last in the American League, baby!
But as Hubby remarked last night, I'm getting awfully tired of the American League team winning the Series. But not so tired that I wasn't rooting against Houston...
Who are you? Did another new blogger joint the group?

If you go by historical symmetry, you'll have to wait another 9 years for the Cubbies' next triumph. 2014, baby!!!

I think we're looking at a victory for the Cincinnati Red Stockings next year.
Soon, all teams who want to win will name themselves after hosiery.

I want Tiger Woods to score a birdie on the fourth down in the bottom of the ninth, handing the Mighty Ducks their first ever ping pong championship.

and the chicago cubs will beat every team in the league
and the tampa bay bucs will take it all the way to the top
and i will love you again
i will love you, like i used to

I think it's Cleveland that's up next. We're not ready to break the longest drought yet.

Also: St. Louis Browns
