I am now offering a copy-editing service. My rates are $2/page (double-spaced, 12pt font, 1-inch margins) for in-place editing, for which I can use Word's change tracking system if you wish. If you want me to provide a running commentary on the rationale behind my changes, I can do that for $3/page. Paypal payments are preferred, particularly those drawing on a bank account rather than a credit card.
I spent three years as an English departmental assistant as an undergraduate, where my primary duty was to grade the grammar and documentation style of student assignments. I am highly detail oriented, and I trust you'll find that my writing on this site consistently conforms to standard grammar and usage. I will do a good job.
Please e-mail me at akotsko at gmail dot com if you would like to take advantage of this service.
Other bloggers should feel free to alert their readers of this service and to implement an appropriate Google bomb, at their sole discretion.
Also, I think my tone was a little harsh. I was only parroting back the word "blind," because you used it. I didn't mean to suggest that you were unusually blind or stupid. It could be easily missed by anyone. The spam-avoiding technique of refusing to include an @ makes the e-mail address harder to spot.
My comment was intended to draw attention to the e-mail address in case other people, reading here, wanted to avail themselves of Adam's services and didn't think that they would be able to figure out how to contact him.
In the event that people didn't notice the e-mail address in the message, I also provided a comment box. Redundancy is a particular strength of my blog.
Adam should post an e-mail address in a prominent place on his site. Or, I'm blind.
