Cripes. Juan Cole is gigantic.

You, sir, have size issues.

Look at Kos, and look at Cole. Are you telling me that Kos is any more than an appetizer before Cole sits down to a real meal?

I've seen pictures of Kos before, I think he's on the small side.

Here are Kos and DeLong, for example.

The green shower curtains have got to go. I can't take seriously anything spoken in front of the green shower curtains. Also the sort of box things hanging down overhead.

This is so typically techboy--jazzy metallic 3-d intro, good camera-work and compression, but set design? Wouldn't that be, like, a girl thing?

Bloggers don't do so much audio and video work because they and their audience are primarily readers

That's not how you spell "ugly motherfuckers".

Atrios isn't so bad. He's not squeaky like Kos, who, I always say, has a voice for the internet. I was first introduced to Kos by an online interview, and I thought he sounded like a punk. Then a friend told me about the blog again, and I started reading. It took me several months of reading to catch on to the sruff that I had known intuitively when I listened to him, e.g., he seems to lack judgement in a lot of areas.

DeLong and Atrios both look frighteningly honkyish.

Well, they are both economists. Even the economists who aren't actually honkys look honkyish.

Except Julianne Malveaux.

I saw Kos speak at an IPDI thing. He's a pretty diminutive guy.

Also there: Sterling Newberry, who the event handlers treated like a schizophrenic who had wandered in from the street. Not without reason, either. Ask that guy a question and you'll get an insightful answer, but it will last for about 45 minutes.
