If this were happening 20 years or so ago, I could totally envision my best friend and I hitting up friends and family for cash and a Citroën 2cv to do this. Go Team NewYorkistan!
A bit OT but: If you are looking for a way to send a cow to Mongolia, you might want to take a look at Heifer Project International. It is a favorite charity of mine ever since my family raised a baby goat destined to be sent to Nigeria, when I was a boy of 5 or so. We had the goat from a few months old to about a year old. Residents of urban areas, fear not -- you can also help Heifer Project without taking livestock in to your abode.
Yes. That is off topic. No one wants to send a cow anyplace through the Heifer Project. All cow-sending impulses should be channeled through Send a Cow, on behalf of Team Newyorkistan, goddamit.
Sheesh. It's like you people aren't even reading the posts.
Eh, sorry... Team Newyorkistan's thing sounds like a lot of fun and worth supporting. The name of it just rang my Heifer Project bell. <slinks off abashed>
Why is no one commenting on LizardBreath's post? I think you all hate Mongolians.

It seems to me that once you've driven out of England/Scotland/Wales, the rest of the trip should be comparatively easy.

I think fording the English Channel is the tricky part...
the descriptions of the cars is brilliant- I'm off to find a Renault 5...

My understanding is that flotation devices are permitted for the crossing of the channel, so long as they are in the shape of comedy sea-monsters.

Osner is banned!

I never really understood the banning rules. Do I have to wait until you say my name 3 times or something?

Oh. My. God.
Banning is so not the same thing as jinxing.
Osner is double-banned!
