A spot check reveals that it's cheaper to get the CDs of Finnish groups that Aquarius Records carries (that is, only the hipster/Wire-approved ones) in California than, at least in the record stores I've been to so far, here. But now I can't find anyone who'll sell me a Kimmo Pohjonen cd at any price!
Yeah, he had any number of variations on the hip-goatee. I sometimes suspect Rollins is the source for all the pop-media images of hipster music fans with little beards. There's a bunch of iconic Blue Note covers with him with various chin-beards and shades.
Music for wearing a beard: late biker rock, like Doobies or ZZ Top? Outlaw country, Nelson & Haggard? Wolfson likely cringes. I first grew my beard in much of a spirit of Texas meets Marin County. Fripp was hirsute for short while, but I don't think my generation of proggers were bearded.
Links to Five of Elissa Hadley's Songs I am not sure if angry-biscuits link would work. PS:I downloaded Elissa's songs; She reminds me of the Sunday's, with less irony. The Sundays make me cry.

Except cdroots and amazon.co.uk and amazon.de. Nevermind. Wankers at Aquarius don't know what they're missing.

Sinatra isn't beard-wearing music, imho.
Sonny Rollins, on the other hand, as long as your beard is a hipster beard and not the full 'Sven Elkhornsson' folk-music beard.

We also need a category for "music to marry a beard to".
In the meantime I will suggest ½ Japanese for growing the beard, and Old And In The Way for wearing it.

Just because they have big beards doesn't mean that they make music for wearing a beard to! Things aren't that simple, yo.

re: 8
No, but Rollins style bop and hard-bop stuff is chin-beard-strokin' music, dammit.

Did Rollins have a beard? I was responding to 7. (Though I guess I could be persuaded on Oldham belonging to one of the two categories.)

Insufficient data. What sort of beard?

I wouldn't cringe before Nelson or Haggard.

Palace Music for the former; Bonnie "Prince Billy Sings Greatest Palace Music for the latter?
