Be careful not to get too much cyanide. Both apricot pits and bitter almonds are known for it.
Just so long as you know the right amount of cyanide.
It is something. I would have expected them to smell like unrequited love.

Jane, is it a festival of the senses? Does it smell like loneliness and taste like the number four?
4.1 is entirely true. There has been a lot of AAAAH AM I MOVING this week in our house.
And when I say 4.1, I mean 5.1.
However, even sweet almond trees sometimes yield bitter almonds (up to 1 percent), and some sweet almond cultivars contain traces of bitter almond aroma.
Important safety tip? Or everyone knows this and not enough to matter?
afaik, cyanide is not one of the many 'a little poison is good for you' poisons.
i do feel wasteful throwing out peach pits.
You could throw them at cars go drive down your street too fast.
It appears that Alan Turing committed suicide by putting cyanide in an apple and eating it. He was also a fan of the poison-apple-making scene in Snow White, which may have something to do with his choice of death method.
Via Wikipedia, of course, that's how we know things.

Nietzsche's Abyss ...Dennis Perrin always cheers me up
The main reason why liberals aren't engaging the class war is because they'd have to oppose Obama. Openly. Radically. And we know that's not going to happen. Hysteria over Perry and Bachmann proves that. Liberals have waited for the GOP circus to commence so they can finally erupt. Based on feeds and links I've read, they've been suppressing a lot.Remember how progressives were going to hold Obama's feet to the fire? How they were going to apply populist pressure? We now see where that energy went -- into a holding account marked Summer 2011.
Opposition to a Perry or Romney administration would be at best tactical. Liberals would be in a four-year holding pattern until they could support the Next Savior. President Franken? Why not? A comedian president would be a perfect fit. A looted and crumbling infrastructure should have a laughtrack, if only to muffle the cries of the screwed.
After ten years of this shit, I don't think I can survive any more of the blogosphere passionately devoting themselves to detailing and refuting the psychotic squawks of Republicans. So fucking pointless.

re: question about Medieval Czech Documents
Hey ttaM, long time lurker, occasional poster, etc. I was hoping I might be able to ask you some questions about finding online caches of medieval documents relating to Prague. Your email isn't on this here blog, however, so I was wondering if you would be so kind to email me:

Thanks

I don't feel like this thread can be allowed to die without anyone using the word "drupe". It's such a delicious word.
I love both drupes and the word "drupes".
