Re: A recommendation

I would enjoy a podcast I could read instead of listening to.

Mostly I agree, but my internal voice can't say "schmuck" nearly as good as Mel Brooks.

Maybe a readable podcast and a Mel Brooks soundboard.

Yes, very good, but the interviewer wasted 13 minutes of my life at the beginning talking about himself. It could have been 13 minutes shorter.

4: Thanks. If I do listen, I'll skip the first 13 minutes.

4: That's the WTF podcast house style. Maron talks about his weird issues (of which he has a whole bunch) and then interviews some interesting character usually associated with the standup comedy scene. I'm a dedicated listener in part because of his rambling about crazy issues. If you can handle the intro ramblings I recommend the Louis CK interview (really heart wrenching in places) and the two Carlos Mencia ones (in which he manages to do unravel Mencia's theft of other's material and makes the guy squirm in a horribly uncomfortable way).

I'm a big fan of Marc Maron because his show with Jeneane Garofalo on Air America helped save my sanity when I was living in a van and trying to finish my dissertation.

The Nerdist podcast had a lengthy interview with Brooks not too long ago as well. Haven't listened to WTF one yet so I can't compare quality.
