There's a link in the link to a very funny piece in the NYTimes by Henry Alford, who I discovered on Twitter.
Veiled Conceit really was the best. Dors anyone know what happened to it and its author?

The ceremony, a mélange of Afro-Caribbean and First Nations traditions conducted via the low-income-social-networking site PoorFace.com, was officiated by the Internet. The bride is taking the groom's name and changing it to "Fireflyrules!!!" The groom, Anastasia P. Threadjack, is a graduate of CheckYourPrivilege.gov and a listicle editor at the ASPCA blog, "Droppings." The bride, who goes by the name "(--)" professionally, is a public employees' union actuarial table. The contractual mediator with prospective custody of the couple's hypothetical offspring is that guy from the Dyson vacuum commercials. The couple will be honeymooning on Netflix.
Katie Baker's analyses in Grantland of the NYT wedding pages are enjoyable - in the last I saw, she mentioned that she is engaged. It will be fun to read her NYT announcement when/if the time comes.
