Ideally there might be a coffee shop or restaurant with a small jungle gym type thing, for super easy parenting where we could just camp out for a spell, while you all drop in at your leisure?
What, like Burger King?
Are children allowed in San Francisco? I feel like there's a nice place to check them at the airport.
Are we still planning something for the Saturday?
I can't think of anyplace that would fit what you're looking for, at least not in The City or the near East Bay. There are some kid-friendly pubs in and around Berkeley, but none that are convenient to BART.
Oh and 3: I was certainly planning on it. Can't speak for anyone else.
1: In Texas there are nice restaurants that will have play areas, because they don't hate children.
Comal was reasonably kid-friendly, wasn't it?
Sure, but it didn't have a jungle gym or like that.
Not super perfectly BART friendly, but the Kensington Circus Pub in Kensington Circle has a handly play area for kids.
6: Are you implying that Burger King isn't a nice restaurant?
Comal is definitely a place where one adult has to devote full time to kid watching.
Handy, not handly, obviously. And it's no jungle gym -- just a corner set up with some toys. But still.
9: Yeah, Kensington Circus is one of the places I was thinking of (although apparently it's changed owners and it's not quite as great as it used to be). Lanesplitter on San Pablo would be another.
12: It always cracks me up that the toys are set up under the dart board.
the Kensington Circus Pub
Sounds like a place that got confused about which continent it was supposed to be on.
12: It always cracks me up that the toys are set up under the dart board.
Yes! It's a nice (deranged) touch.
Lanesplitter is my favorite bowling-themed heavy metal band.
A random Vietnamese restaurant very near the El Cerrito Plaza BART station has a play area for kids, and there is a decent but small bar next door (Elevation 66) with good food. Kensington Circus isn't completely inaccessible by public transit, but probably close to a 20 minute uphill walk from the same station. But surely Google has better suggestions than this.
When I was last (and first) in San Francisco, there was a small lake with little boats you could row. I bet kids would like that. There's probably some run against bringing a cooler on the boats, but maybe there's somewhere to eat nearby. I don't remember.
Honestly, I would offer to host since I'll be home that afternoon (I think), but I think our place is less kidproofed than most childless homes. There are toys, though, and a fenced yard, and we are in the enviable position of having zero neighbors on either side that day (empty house & empty half-duplex). Also, I am the most awkward person in the world. But if nothing else comes along and you want to do the East Bay, let me know.
Oh wait, I just figured out where we should go: Paisan. There still isn't a jungle gym or anything like that, but they could totally stick us out on the (covered, heated) patio and let the kids run around. Plus they (at least used to) have Pappy Van Winkle at the bar.
Oh wait, sorry, there is in fact a major conflict I thought was the following week, so I can't do anything that day. As you were!
The kids and I will be getting into SF on Tuesday - is this place transit friendly? Not sure what our car situation will be.
24: Not great, not horrible. You'd have to either take BART and then take two buses (on major roads, so lots of service) or take a transbay bus and then change in Berkeley. Or take a ~$10 cab ride from BART.
BART + two buses is pretty horrible. I could possibly offer a ride from the city for up to 4.
What's the Saturday plan?
Originally we were available Saturday or Tuesday, but then my mom expressed preference that we meet our secret friends on Tuesday, so we're only free on Tuesday, now.
(I mean the rest of you are free to meet up on Saturday and I'd be sorry to miss it.)
The kids and I will be getting into SF on Tuesday - is this place transit friendly? Not sure what our car situation will be.
Morpheus and Persephone will make entertaining the HPs a breeze. And looking forward to meeting you in person, as well!
Paisan sounds great. There doesn't need to be a formal jungle gym, as long as there's space for kids to play together.
Sorry about the frequent failures, y'all. Should be less frequent henceforth!
Wait, is Heebie staying in the City and County of Frisco itself, without a car? Because if so getting to San Pablo in Berkely with kids in tow is a gigantic PITA.
No, we're staying north, in a hotel near my brother's house in Corte Madera. And we're renting a car.
a gigantic PITA with a generous portion of SPROUTS and also blocks of TOFU the size of SMALL DOGS.
That makes much more sense then. Have fun driving across an awesomely scary bridge.
It looks like Paisan is also accessible by the 49 from BART, no transfer, but don't know how frequent it is.
What time are you all available? If we're going to be there two hours before everyone else, maybe we'll wander around and explore for a little bit, first.
You should really make all these degenerates go to Marin. Where's your God of public tansportation now, fools?
Which is the scary bridge? The richmond/san rafael? What's scary about it? I used to hit 120 on that bridge every day. Ruled.
I also used to commute from the Oakland hills to Marin via public transportation. That... took a long time.
Where's your God of public tansportation now, fools?
Everyone knows that public transportation is a joke in this town, so I'm not sure what your point is, Halford.
I love that bridge so much, but, especially the route where you're on the bottom layer, it's claustophobic and metal and old and very long and has spoooooky openings on the side between the rails so you can see far far below where your car will inevitably get sucked through and fall into the Bay.
Half-hourly, and last returning one departs 7:30.
Sifu's vegetarian drag name is Tofu Sweety.
I had a weird night's sleep.
I can also provide shuttle service to/from BART. It's really close by car.
The Richmond/San Rafael Bridge is not double-deck, the traffic is on one level. Although split into lanes going East or West. Which really cuts down on the scariness. You must be thinking of the SF/Oakland Bay Bridge, Halford, it's the only double-deck bridge up here.
Re: Saturday, I re-propose any time between 11-2 at Café Twentieth Century or someplace else easily reached from the mid-Market maelstrom of Ncracker rehearsals. Do have to admit that the service at 20th C is appalling, my word those folks are flakes. But the drinks and food are tasty and it is pleasant aesthetically.
Sorry to miss the H-Gies!
Twentieth Century Café! Not Café Twentieth Century! Get the honey cake and several knishes for me.
I have never received bad service there. Evar.
Say what? The Richmond-San Rafael bridge most definitely is double-deck; Halford's description is spot-on.
Arguments about what specific bridges look like are great, but unfortunately probably too easily resolved to get a really nice long juicy comment thread.
I like the big orange bridge with all the giant cables.
I cannot see how one can feel simultaneously claustrophobic and at risk of being sucked out of the same enclosed space.
Ergo -- Latin -- I'm pretty sure Halford is a bad-faith tale-teller and an opponent of all public spending on infrastructure.
I'm sure I can make it because my only commitment most days is...well, I haven't any. I am committed to excellence. Yeah I'm not even that.
Never took Smearcase for a member of Raider Nation.
Opinions re bridges:
Driving east on the R/SR bridge I always feel like I am driving up up up into the void. Or at least off a cliff. Major vertigo. Only downhill skiing more unpleasant from a vertigo perspective. Going west doesn't create the same horrible sensation.
Light standards on new eastern span of Bay Bridge look like dental instruments for giants.
Piecemeal deconstruction of Carquines bridge was super fun to watch, like it was being eaten by meticulous ants.
Re meet up, occurs to me no children likely to attend so have potentially wider options. Happy with 20 c although apparently need to be accompanied by nosflow to be served well.
apparently need to be accompanied by nosflow to be served well.
In this as in many other things.
The always give the best service to people they think could use the boost.
The Geebies should get some chaat at Vik's corner for said item in the two hours before everyone else arrives.
58: How close is that to Paisan's? I only get to eat Asian food a few times a year and I always crave it.
How pathetic does that sentence sound. OTOH, the local tex-mex is the best.
Oh man, I could ALWAYS go for some Vik's.
I will submit an EXTREMELY rare non-paleo endorsement for 58, especially given 61. If you're going to be weak, do it that way. It's a very short drive from your restaurant, I think.
Vik's aka 'how about some spicy potato with those spicy potatoes?' with a chole supplement, bien sur!
Make sure to snag a package of spicy fried cashews, option LARGE.
Jackmormon and I will need it to be East Bay if we're going to be able to attend a Saturday event.
Where's your God of public tansportation now, fools?
Probably hanging out on the deck of the Larkspur Ferry.
I wonder if dairy queen is confusing the R/SR with the San Mateo bridge. Also, over time I grew to love the Dumbarton bridge, especially crossing the salt flats around sunset.
Mr. Blandings: From 27, it looks like Tuesday is the day for a heebie-geebie meetup.
Nope, no confusion between R/SR and D bridges as have mercifully limited experience of D bridge, and that experience tending to confirm it is the interminable path from wretched to abominable. And I say that as one who grew up in Castro Valley!
Looks like there are two meet-ups coalescing:
- Tuesday in the East Bay with Heebie Geebie and hangers on, fortified with fried spice cashews in opulent quantities and verywell attended.
- Saturday in SF which will likely consist of me hanging out at 20 c editing a brief whilst child rehearses 'round the corner, feebly sending out messages re what I am wearing so as to be identifiable to the unfogged ilk, and no one turning up.
BUT in case anyone does wish to join me on Saturday I pledge to post identifying details the day of.
Just as long as you eat several knishes, dq.
Butte America has just banned public drinking between 2 and 8 am. I don't see how you can say that everything will be right.
I will do my best, nosflow! And here's to that lovely day in the future when I, too, will experience nosflow-level service at 20c by benefit of your company!
Maybe all get all dangerous and take my knitting to have an option from brief editing ...
BTW we are listening to Du Pres play the Beethoven sonatas right now and it is so amazingly beautiful, everyone should just do the same NOW. So so beautiful.
So do we have a rough headcount and timeframe? I told Paisan we'd be 10 people at 5, but if there are going to be more of us or we're going to be there at a different time I should let them know.
I can probably be there around 7, with IB, unless that's too late.
I can be there around 7 unless something goes wrong at work.
7ish for me to. Does anybody need a ride from SF or from BART?
We'll probably leave by 8 at the latest, because that'll be 10 our time and the kids will be zonked. So if everyone's at work all afternoon, I imagine we'll wander around (maybe go to Vik's!) and be at Paisan's around...whenever someone will be there?
RebeccaS - what's your time frame?
I will be there as early as anyone wants to show up, unless I am offered a job tomorrow and they'd like me to start the next day.
Sweet so, heebie, smearcase can show up at 4 or so and you can leave the kids with him and explore a bit until other people arrive.
Our flight gets into SF around noon - and we don't really have any specific other plans for the day - other than maybe a nap for the kiddos in the early afternoon - so it's pretty flexible - other than if we are taking public transportation that will take a while.
I'll post in this thread whenever we get our rental car and where we're headed, and just keep things updated.
I'll be there tomorrow as early as anyone wants to hang out.
I'm also free anytime after 1 or so. Maybe a late afternoon snack at Vik's (best to go with a group so we can get a bunch of different chaat) and then head to Paisan?
7ish for me to. Does anybody need a ride from SF or from BART?
I certainly wouldn't say no--I was going to take BART from Civic Center--but I can imagine it would be a hassle to try to coordinate. In any case, an email should be linked with my name there.
Hoping to be there sometime after 5 - I'm coming up from the South Bay, so it's always a bit uncertain.
Meanwhile Heebie (or anyone else) - do you have any recommendations for a calculus text for a smart student who would be largely self-guided, but with the abillity to get some overall direction and to ask questions of an expert (moi) as needed? I can fill in some of the background at the meetup.
Oh, so are we still thinking about Saturday too? Is Blandings coming tomorrow?
I'm still working Tuesday, so probably won't be there before 6.
I will be there tomorrow; Blandings doesn't fly in until late late on Thursday. I will be happy to escape the bosom of my family tomorrow afternoon, and have told them that I am expected somewhere by 2.
Which is to say, it would be fine if that were true, and also when I will be wandering around the area of Vik's Chaat even if untrue.
I will also be wandering around that area in the early afternoon. We should coordinate! Smearcase? You in too?
92: A friend and I enjoyed working through some of Thompson's classic Calculus Made Easy several years ago. I remember it being a charming and non-intimidating book, which is certainly worth something for mathphobes such as myself.
I learned Calculus from "Calculus the Easy Way" which I deeply love. It's written as kind of a fantasy novel about Calculus.
Shall we just straight meet at Vik's at 2?
99 -- Bought and done. I've been slowly working my way through Khan Academy precalculus, so maybe my dream of being able to do calculus by the time I'm 40 will come true.
Or maybe you'll get infinitesimally close but never quite get there.
Does needing to know the area under the curve come up more in legal practice than I figured or is this for personal fulfillment?
I have never had any professional or academic need to know calculus. I just kind of feel like not knowing it has kept me permanently at moron level.
Let's not get into the whole necessary/sufficient thing.
Does compound interest as a way to get at e work? Leads naturally to integrals and exponential growth/decay, the most common application.
After that maybe the diffusion equation, leads to gaussians.
I have a pretty hard time with abstract topics without a problem that I care about to use as a focus.
Liveblogging: Paisan may be kinda pissed at me. They usually do a set menu for groups of 12 or more and they probably can't pull it together on short notice.
We just landed. We will not be at Viks any time soon. See you all eventually.
They usually do a set menu for groups of 12 or more and they probably can't pull it together on short notice.
Well, so what? Were we all intending to dine?
I'm guessing we can be at Viks by 3:30-4?
So I mean, enjoy your chaat, locals.
Heebie, your liveblogging makes me glad I had to cancel a SFO flight on AirTran.
111: It seems like many people aren't sure when they're coming or going, or if they're attending at all. I think a set menu for the group would be pretty frustrating for everyone in the circumstances.
Now on a shuttle. Offsite rental agency seemed like a good idea a few weeks ago.
AirTran was the little airport train to get to the on-site rental cars. Or to another shuttle.
What's the address of Viks? Is it in Oakland?
124: Oh, I was putting together delayed flight + slow baggage + airline name, not thinking of the train thingy, which I didn't realize had the same name. Hope rental car pickup is speedy.
God damn it Heebie not Vik's! It's Trader Vic's!
We have left Vik's! Now at a little cafe on San Pablo.
120: it's more that they've got a relatively small kitchen so a larger group would completely overwhelm them. I can always tell them we'll just cut off the stragglers from food.
According to my phone it'll take about 50 minutes to get there. In line offsite. VACATION wooo.
Not going to make it today - I'm bummed.
Everyone have an embarrassing sex-related conversation for me.
AirTran is an airline. One of the cheapers ones that, along with Southwest, I usually flew back when I was in college.
Wait so I don't get legendary cuisine?
It's a striker five niner at the Oakland Airport Hyatt RIGHT NOW!!
Go! Go! Go! It's happening now!
I am on my way but I walked to lunch rather than biking and it's 2 buses from here to there, so I think I'll be a while.
Smearcase! 10-16-32-53. Do it! go go go go. We have movement in Alpha Sector!
Is San Pablo near Viks? We are in the car and need a destination.
City of San Pablo -- right now! Code names!
We should be there in 40 minutes.
Getting ready to wind up at work - is the plan still to wind up at Paisan after 5, or is that getting pushed back due to delays in folks getting to Viks?
Everything's now at Victor's, in San Pablo, but they'll be done soon. Hurry up, Dave W!!!
Are all these places close? We're not going to arrive as everyone is heading far away?
Josh is embarrassed to be seen with us at Paisan. He's a regular.
No, come to Vic's (Bancroft and 6th). We'll be there.
No, come to Vic's (Bancroft and 6th). We'll be there.
Three pissed off kids, stuck in traffic. Wheeee.
108: Having real problems to motivate math learning is always cool, but the problem is that lots of math stuff is basically learning various tools and manipulations that may come up later, and it can be hard to sort out exactly what you will need if you start out just focused on "exactly what do I need to learn to solve this particular problem." It can be done, of course, and a lot of post-school learning works that way.
One example of something that I think could be taught differently: they are teaching a very little bit of graphical linear programming to high school students (in alg2 or precalc), but most of the interesting problems involve more than two variables, and you can't graph the solutions to those, so kids wind up memorizing some techniques that don't help them solve interesting problems. I think it might be interesting to start kids off using a free LP-solver program (like LPsolve) to solve more interesting problems as a "black box", and then get into the graphing stuff as a conceptual explanation of what the program is doing. But that takes ready access to computers, which a lot of school districts can't assume.
You're too late Heebie -- they've all gone to Vik's.
I saw a scene from Traffic being filmed.
Ok, headimg to Vik's now. I'll probably get there 6ish.
I was at a very good restaurant near Trafalgar Square (Terroirs). But I'm not there now.
Go go go go go md 20/400. They're heading towards Paisano's now, on Victor Street.
Vic's is actually at 4th and Channing, sorry!
I'm starting to question the billboards ETAs. 20 minutes ago it predicted 40 minutes, and now we're down to 35.
Uh, is this place in kind of an industrial district?
It's in the middle of a disused warehouse, next to the wooden chair and length of rope. Have a seat and look around.
We've maybe covered a mile in the past hour?
It's too bad we didn't focus on the "Heebie drives from SFO to Berkeley at rush hour with several kids in the car" part of the plan sooner.
Fueling up the suborbital launch system. I should be at Vik's in 45 minutes. (In the land of James Bond, these rockets are ubiquitous. In reality, less so.)
heebie-geebie, you have my sympathy. That drive sounds rotten.
Yes. This has been one of the least pleasant hours in recent memory.
Viks? Or Paisan? I will be at downtown Berkeley BART station shortly
We'll be at Vik's for another 45 minutes or so, then head to Paisan.
"Heebie drives from SFO to Berkeley at rush hour the Tuesday before Thanksgiving with several kids in the car."
Traffic outside my house has been backed up for the last 4 hours.
Wait, I want to know where heebie is now. Has the made it to Vik's? Is she stuck on the Richmond/San Rafael bridge? Did she actually drive to San Pablo on Halford's recommendation and now she's enraged? Fill us in!
I think we will head straight to Paisan then should be there in about 20 min?
Pretend to be Halford, see what happens.
This is even better than the whole potted palm mishegas at unfoggiddycon X.
We're meeting on treasure island, right?
Oh you should! Go hang out at my old apartment.
182 is sort of a deep cut, I now realize. Well, if anybody gets it, it'll make them very happy.
Good. Now follow signs to the San Mateo bridge, and you'll be there.
Decided to take the 72R up from Oakland since it stops right there. ETA 30-40min.
Oh, but everyone has now gone back to Vic's in Emeryville. So go there first.
I'm on a bus crawling up 880N. Tell Paisan if I get cut off from food, I'll be pissed.
Let me be the first to suggest Fresh Salt.
Ok. I wandered into a factory, was packaged and shipped overseas.
No. But we are going to Paisan in like 37 seconds.
183 is a joke, sure, but my MIL made a wrong turn in Oakland and ended up lost on Treasure Island. She needed new glasses. This was our first sign that my MIL will someday be cared for by the state.
TI is pretty darn small to get lost on.
Having totally failed an online coding test, I guess I'm going to head out now. To Paisan's, I guess?
I agree Nosflow, who wants Trapnel to come?
I wandered into a factory, was packaged and shipped overseas.
I am now picturing little rhythmic arcs of red, pulsating gently in the morning sun.
Wait, at how many places are you having a meetup? Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole purpose of a meetup?
I should have driven down there, for all I got done yesterday and today.
Everyone's now at Paisano's Pizza in Victorville -- go! It's closing soon!
Y'all should read this one aloud: http://furiousevening.tumblr.com
I always suspected you people didn't really like each other very much.
I would just like to point out that the liveblogging has really tapered off to unacceptable levels.
Yay for San Leandro. I'm feeling paranoid about my destination. It's Paisan on San Pablo, right? (That question is for somebody other than Halford or Sifu.)
Also, I assume heebs is halfway to Yreka based on Halford's directions. Hey heebs, could you pick up an assorted case of cheap California booze before you cross the state line? I'll pay you back when you get here.
212: It's just because each participant has gone to a different place, and now they're all just sitting alone with their phones going refresh refresh refresh.
It's Paisan on San Pablo, right?
Meah
It's Paisan on San Pablo, right? (That question is for somebody other than Halford or Sifu.)
Yes.
Heebie and family are here, as are RebeccaS and Minivet. And you'll just have to guess where "here" is.
I have hit the button to summon the elevator.
BART delay - extra metal on the tracks.
An elevator?! What kind of crazy futuristic skyscraper restaurant are you guys at, here? Meetup at Nakatomi Plaza! Geez.
And you'll just have to guess where "here" is.
That comment was posted from inside the house!
220: yeah I'm on the platform now and just learned this. God knows when I'll get there now. Think they're covering up a suicide, or it's actually just debris?
Haha good one Josh. But, seriously guys, Minivet and I are in our way over to the other place. We'll save a table!!
Think they're covering up a suicide, or it's actually just debris?
"Damn, that guy's dead. Well, chuck some metal on him so people can't see."
Least-accessible-to-lurkers meetup.
Guys, don't worry about BART closing. Everyone take the Larkspur Ferry.
Meetup on the lower deck of the Dumbarton bridge!
Is anybody else in the HOV lane on 880N? Meet me here with a nice bourbon?
Just pulled off at Jack London Sq, about 8 mi away. Traffic was doing 5-10 mph, but it looks like it opens up N of here. So Paisan now?
You heard the man! Go, JMcQ! Go!
We are eating pizza and drinking wine at Paisan. Delicious!
235 is kind of rubbing it in, don't you think?
nosflow is trapped in an elevator.
A Pittsburg/Bay Point train just pulled up, but it's too packed to board.
I'm not saying you should stop -- far from it -- but this liveblogging is some intensely real shit.
Don't worry, Ben. If I get there before you, I can start the monad tutorial.
Unfogged meetup slash Seinfeld episode
243: just make sure to start general.
I am eating tonnarelli cacio e pepe and drinking wine. Delicious!
I am alone, but per 215 I guess I'm at the meetup.
I think I'm on the train that's too full for nosflow.
I'm here at the meetup. Travel was fine since I just had to walk from the kitchen. The pizza is fine, but contra JM I'm not sure I'd call it "delicious". The beer is good.
I'll keep an eye peeled for extra metal.
But what do I do now? I meant to be on the Richmond line. Transfer to a bus? Aaah!
247 hits new levels of poignancy. I hope eventually somebody can make a sorta sweet/sorta sad children's book out of this.
Oh hey you guys I just googled Paisan and it's actually pretty close to Vik's.
Don't tweakers just pick up all the extra metal? What's the holdup?
The logistics of this thing are pretty epic, but shouldn't someone have taken the ferry to Jack London Square?
I'm still holding out for a horror story where 218 is Josh's kidnapping/ransom note, 235 is because JM has Stockholm syndrome, and at the end of the evening a crazed lurker bursts in seeking vengeance on Halford for giving misleading directions.
250 If you get off at 12th street you can grab the 72/72m/72r all of which go straight up to Paisan. Get off at Dwight & San Pablo.
258-- thanks! Any reason not to do that at 19th, same buses? We're finally moving, and bart should be faster for those 7 blocks, yes?
256: we haven't heard from Bave for a while. Maybe he's on a boat!
This is the greatest, most relaxed meetup ever. I'd be in my pajamas, if I had pajamas.
And I'm drinking wine. So, pajamas. Is "pyjamas" exotically foreign, or is it just the usual contrarian British English bullshit? You people must have something to talk about.
Lots of children!
(Lots of cocktails!)
Just a reminder that we can totally pick people up from BART!
Me too! Waiting for bus at 14th. Now eat has nosflow gets on the bus, which is then too full for me...
"Pyjamas" is unacceptable coming from an Oregonian dude.
I've lost track of whether anybody besides heebie's kids has actually arrived.
Photo of h-g offspring on Smearcase's lap in the flickr pool, please.
On bus! No Nosflow. Did he bring his bike on BART? He may have!
But that's why I asked! Uncle Smearcase, be nice.
It could if you got a job as a department store Santa. You could write something funny about that!
I am prepared to call in an order to Paisan for as many as you want of whatever cocktail you want if I can see that photo.
One of the kids got broken. I had nothing to do with it.
We are now pretty much all here: HG, Jammies, the Geebie children, RebeccaS and her children, Josh, Smearcase, Trapnel, nosflow, Yawnoc, DaveW, Minivet, and yrs truly. Possible late arrivals include the Iberian beauty and Josh's girlfriend.
Enjoy! And don't let the children have any knife fights.
The great thing is it took so long for everybody to get there that now nobody can ever leave!
Our children are passed out with varying degrees of pathetic-ness.
Is that a high or low degree of pathetic-ness?
Photos of Smearcase and baby have been taken.
And what cocktail would you request from Blandings?
That picture is everything I could have hoped.
291: Oh god yes.
What'll it be?
Their website doesn't show any drinks with "Lady" in the name.
I should probably feel uncomfortable with seeing people bribed into photos for drink money, but Mr. Smearcase is continuing trapnel's precedent of pure awesomeness!
I think they should get a round of Negronis.
Their website doesn't show any drinks with "Lady" in the name.
Yeah that part was sad. I actually broke the rule and let myself off the hook the other night when something had "femme" in the name and I didn't really feel like drinking it.
Anyway ARE YOU ALL HAPPY NOW?
297.last: More than you can possibly imagine.
288: Nunc dimittis servum tuum, Domine.
That photo was awesome. I hope Smearcase got free drinks the rest of the night. (So, did the folks at Paisan freak out about the group?)
Nah, everything worked out okay in the end. I think I'll be able to show my face in there again.
You would not *believe* how the Geebie kids party.
They're at the End Up now, I bet.
307: You're more right than you know. (Ah, Hokey Pokey.)
Solid liveblogging. Great photo. Super fun-sounding meetup. Strong work, everyone. I'm totally jealous.
