Wait wait, I know the answer here: he should have spent that time volunteering at a soup kitchen.
This is going to get more comments than my kid saying "You cannot be serious" isn't it? These two don't count.
But really, I think your kid's time could have been better spent volunteering somewhere.
Ben, how's this done? I expected that the read/write mechanism's sound was going to be exploited, but how are they tuned? Are floppies written so that these particular sounds are generated by the read/write?
These aren't sounds I associate with floppy drives.
Ben - the one with knowledge sends the following from the latest issue of audio advisor, says these are good things at very decent prices but understands if too spendy:
- Rega RP1 with Ortofon OM5e cartridge and Rega RB101tonearm, 445
- Pro-ject Essential II with Ortofon OM5e catridge, 299
- PSB Alpha B1 speakers, 299 pair
At first I was confused because this thread didn't seem to have any references to Woody Allen at all, but then I noticed what song the floppy drives in the OP were playing.
I guess the original version without vocals that's been floating around the internet for close to two years was too inaccessible for neb.
