Any minute now, the comment avalanche is going to start.
I watched the video, but I don't have much to say about it.
The synth hits on the chorus remind me of a pop song lodged deep in my crush factory of a tween heart. 83-86 probs. As soon as I can place it I'll listen to that, but this is nice for now.
Yeah, that's a good song. Very One Directionish. Much like Taylor Swift with country music, he seems to have abandoned R&B completely with this one.
My brother-in-law works with Derulo at Warner Brothers. It's something to do with new media, so technically it would fall to him to encourage Derulo to join this thread. Has anyone checked whether the pseud "Wry Cooter" is still available?
Ugh, the synth hits in the chorus are totally gross.
There must be some mistake. My face is not gross, but rather captivatingly attractive.
Meh. It doesn't have a funky beat, and I can't bug out to it.
This song has been on my running playlist for about a month now, confirming yet further that heebie and I have the same (shitty) taste in music. I definitely air-synth those chorus parts neb is hating on. While running.
I'm with you, heebers.
Wow. I'm genuinely surprised; I couldn't listen to even a minute of that.
The lyrics in the first verse suggest that he's already pretty well positioned to get up next to her.
None of the components of this song came together for me, but some sub-part of the synth line has led me to go listen to "Thriller." That's catchy!
This is what you're looking for (NSFW).
This seems more like heebie's kind of thing.
I am not familiar with the works of Jason Derulo.
That was a Neruda reference, wasn't it?
I am familiar with references to Pablo Neruda.
That's a pretty good song (in an ear wormy sort of way)! I had not heard of Derulo before this but I'm increasingly out of touch with what's blowing up these days. Per 11, that whole Perfume Genius album is incredible.
Wow, that song is more even annoying than "Happy."
Given how often Heebie and I are of opposite opinions on music, I wonder if we aren't mostly just pleased to see our own body types represented realistically in a music video.
I like Jason Derulo. Here is his song that samples the hell out of the music from the climax of the season two finale of the American television series The O.C.:

That perfume genius - Queen song is good. I saw perfume genius. Jenny Hval opened. She had probably the strangest presentation of any band I ever saw.
