Donald Trump is the greatest performance artist ever. He never breaks character, ever, and he's maintained the "Donald Trump" character longer than even Stephen Colbert was able to maintain the "Stephen Colbert" character.
"Fatuous Project (carry that weight)" is a landmark of conceptual art. But some of his follow-up videos are just creepy.
In the alternative universe in which Trump wins the presidency he pulls a Palin and quits half way through because he can't handle the reality of political infighting. He lacks the temperament for politics, though he plays the wingnut game very well indeed. He just doesn't have what it takes to actually run the government anything but a dictatorship.
Typical douchebaggery from Halperin. B- is huge grade inflation.
He just doesn't have what it takes to actually run the government anything but a dictatorship.
His announcement "speech" revealed a fascinating set of misconceptions about the scope of presidential powers.
So, Mr. Trump, you think the president can, on a whim, decide to levy a 35% punitive tax on a single company, and that he can do it alone, without Congress having any say in the matter? That's nice. Would you like to watch cartoons now, or would you like your coloring books?
Halperin's grades are kind of amusing - at least a couple of times I've seen them retweeted where style is different from substance but overall is identical to style.
Our national press corps is worse than useless. What an embarrassment this guy in particular has turned out to be.
Has Herman Cain announced yet? I can't wait to see what he'll do with video ads this time.
I would've thought that Halperin would feel free to downgrade obvious joke candidates. Does this mean Trump is Villager-serious?
8: Herman Cain's ads will feature him, but this time he will wear a belt consisting of pigs in a blanket.
For the first time in decades, Trump is a true underdog, but his ability to shape the contours of the nomination fight should not be ignored. On the debate stage, through TV advertising (positive and negative), in earned media, and by drawing crowds, Trump has the potential to be a big 2016 player.
Just the grade doesn't capture the full stupidity.
What does a candidate have to do to get an "F"?
