If Trump wins, I'm moving to eastern Canada.
Is this story getting traction again? I didn't think it had legs.
Yeah, I thought it had been solved; ankles disarticulate easily, modern running shoes have air pockets, result is that if you have a body in the water wearing trainers then pretty soon the feet will come off and float away.
Call me old-fashioned but I don't think it's right to dismember Canadians just to punish them for exercising like it's still 1985.
Is this story getting traction again? I didn't think it had legs.
It's only a story because it doesn't have legs.
Before the game is a foot thou still let'st slip.
Article sucks in that you would think it would provide some info on the ones identified. Or maybe it did and I missed it.
I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Is this story getting traction again?
It's a reboot.

Heel be back soon.
We're nothing if not tongue-in-cheek.
And prone to follow in the footsteps of others.
When will they bring in Ira Flay-Toe for questioning?!
I'm sure some enterprising gumshoe has already questioned him.
Moby did what he could to prevent this from happening, but since Lord Castock @2, this comment thread has gotten off on the wrong foot.
If we want to do films, we could do a double-feature of Footloose and My Left Foot.
Aglet the joke; please stop already.
You can plead for us to stop, but your efforts will prove bootless.

But surely the investigation will flounder, especially if it gets caught flatfished.
One of those odd French policier I like so much kicked off with a big pile severed feet at the gate of Highgate Cemetery in London! I think that was the vampire one.

Don't make me stomp off.
heebie's right. To get back on the OP topic: one theory is that the victim runners all drank from the same bad batch of Gatorade—you know, laced with something.

About to leave for the airport to go and see Chani and see Timbuktu. Then flying right back to Arrakis tomorrow. It's kind of crazy I guess but it's cheap enough.

I realize that not everyone has my attitude to air travel but damn, Chani must be pretty amazing.
Foolish me I cleared security and could have easily made the flight that departs in a half hour instead of waiting around in the airport till almost noon. Think I just didn't want to get up super early on my day off but it would have been fine.
Time for some Airport Liveblogging!!! You and teo can chat, maybe.
I'm not traveling so much these days, but I can still chat from home.
I'm sitting in a cafe catching up on the election thread (the small hands reall got to Trump, and the penis reference! Strangest election in my lifetime ) and sipping a soy latte they put in a hard plastic cup so it burned me even though I let it sit for over 20 minutes.
Are you going to Timbuktu Timbuktu, or just Timbuktu?
I'm going to see the film "Timbuktu."
47: but not in Timbuktu?
Incidentally, this Google News alert for "ekranoplan" that I set up last month is really brightening my day. There's a gig in Glasgow by a Kraftwerk-inspired electronic/rave duo called Ekranoplan coming up soon. Also ground-effect water beetles, concept aircraft carriers and an article headlined "Sản xuất ekranoplan sẽ được triển khai tại Nizhny Novgorod" which I don't think needs translating. (In virtually every language with a Roman alphabet, apparently, the word for ekranoplan is "ekranoplan".)
Timbuktu is a 1959 U.S. black-and-white adventure film set in Timbuktu (Africa) but filmed in the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Kanab, Utah.[1] It was directed by Jacques Tourneur in 1958.In 1940, France is at war with Germany. The French have removed large numbers of troops from their African possessions, leaving the way open for revolt. American soldier of fortune Mike Conway (Victor Mature) sees a chance to pay his way back to the United States by gunrunning to hostile Tuaregs.
Wearing a slouch hat and bush jacket, Conway is armed with a Thompson sub machine gun and a wristwatch with an alarm engraved "From Conway to Conway". He finds himself walking a razor's edge between an anti-French Tuareg leader (John Dehner) keen for Conway's supply of weapons but keener to use his tarantulas on his prisoners, a moderate Imam (Leonard Mudie) wanting peace, the local French Foreign Legion commander (George Dolenz), and the commander's attractive wife (Yvonne de Carlo) who Conway cannot keep away from.
Sounds pretty good.

Title of Ursula Le Guin pastiche: DONE.
(Add to list: Foundation and Ekranoplan, The Mote In God's Ekranoplan, The Handmaid's Ekranoplan, The Ekranoplan Into Women's Country, An Ekranoplan for Liebowitz, Stranger in a Strange Ekranoplan, God Ekranoplan of Dune, The Ekranoplan is a Harsh Mistress, To Your Scattered Ekranoplans Go, Mona Lisa Ekranoplan. Possibly I shouldn't have any more coffee this morning.)
Why is there no Establishment Republican candidate called "Victor Mature" -- isn't that exactly who they're looking for?
Ekranoplan Crash. The Erkranoplan and the Ekranoplan. Use of Ekranoplans.
I need another coffee.
Also the ground effect beetle thing suggests a new mouseover text: "An inordinate fondness for ekranoplans".

Ajay, in case 50.1 isn't getting enough love as people get excited to play along, I hope you can rest assured that I will treasure it forever.
