It started good, but that's really long. Much longer than the alcoholism lady.
It technically is, but it felt much shorter to read.
Maybe it's too soon for 11-Sep humor, or more probably it's too late for Seinfeld humor, but I didn't laugh until they all got anthrax.
The Twitter account Modern Seinfeld (which I see hasn't been updated in for a while) is pretty funny and really gets it right on most of the time.
That was funny, but not funny enough to get me past Act I.
I didn't laugh at all, but I did think it was very well done.
It is. I could pretty much see it in my head.
4: Let me recommend the incomprehensibly amazing epiphenomenon that is Seinfeld 2000.
For most of my adult life I have believed that American Jewish humour was the funniest in the world. Seinfeld is the exception that proves the rule.
I kind of couldn't believe how well done it was, and I also laughed. I read it a few days ago, so I don't remember the bits I liked best, but in general what I thought was most successful was that you could picture the body language, facial expressions, etc. that would augment the text. To some extent that's just relying on Seinfeld cliches, but that doesn't mean it's easy to get right, and in the service of something this outre, it's all the more impressive.
