Twitter isn't that far off here, especially compared to some of the things you read there.
Wikipedia says June 2, June 19, and June 1.
I was just listening to a conference call on speakerphone in a roomful of people, and the initial attempt had a terrible echo. And I contemplated making a Lou Gehrig joke: "Boss, before you hang up, can you just say 'I... am the luckiest man in the world...'" But realized that there was no one in the room old enough to either get it or think it was funny, and that it actually wasn't that funny.
If you'd've said "in the world" rather than "on the face of the earth" they might have run you out of town.
My memory of cultural references from prior generations is imperfect, I admit.
Don't ask all that often what your country can do for you, ask if you can maybe be a bit helpful.
Anyway, it's really hard to do jokes over a conference call.
I, myself, would have found that to be funny.
4 is some serious blasphemy. "Today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the Earth."
