Is this what people in cities without great hockey teams were watching?
I knew* ben falk before he became famous and I'm both excited that he's interested in writing, and always a little shocked when I remember how young he is (or perhaps I'm just old).

I don't understand what happened at the end of the game. They didn't foul every possession and the last 4 minutes on the clock took under five minutes of real time. What happened to the NBA I used to know?
ogged - I watched this video, liked it, then ended up accidentally watching the second half of tonight's finals game, and think I appreciated it a lot more than I otherwise would have as a result. So thank you.
It's so strange, I can watch and keep track of a whole pitch's worth of soccer players in my peripheral vision but this is opaque to me even when it's being explained.
I did most of my basketball watching back in the '90s and I feel like the rules of that era led to a much less interesting game than what's on display here, though I can't rule a lack of perceptiveness on my part. I'd have to watch a lot to have a hope of picking up something like this. This clip kind of makes me want to do that but I don't even own a streaming subscription.

LeBron could have got him out while he was still conscious.
co-sign 7 - the best team I actively rooted for was the Olajuwon-led Houston Rockets, and apart from the ridiculous Olajuwon spin/shake moves they were boring as hell - dump the ball in, pass out of the double/triple team, rotate, shoot 3.
