'He said, with a Gallic shrug...'
I want to know what the spelling mistakes were.
Robespierre supposedly became a radical revolutionary because his thesis was rejected by Lavoisier. You know what happened to Lavoisier. Be careful whose spelling you criticize.
I actually did check it before I posted, and he said it, but they weren't his last words; it's what he said when they handed down the sentence. They carried out the execution the next day. That was close enough to not really change the sense of the story.
Oh, wait, that thread goes on the explain that he never said it. But he did correct the mistakes! Not close enough, but good enough!
But that guy seems like a dick, and there's some pushback farther down. SHRUGGIE. Putin for Emperor!
So, the "three spelling mistakes" wasn't in his Wikipedia entry when this was first posted, but it is now. So, I'm assuming it is true.
For the record, I didn't edit the entry.
In 17, I was thanking myself for 15 and 16. I'm welcome
After reading that whole Twitter thread I don't know who to believe, but that Kloczko guy is sure persistent.
So was the Committee of Public Safety.
Persistent to a fault but faulty in their spelling.
They were also harsh in their taxes. They robs Pierre to pay Gaul.
