I'm right with you. I think it *is* funny. I also think it is a poignant commentary about our role there. The administration's raison du jour is that we are there to "free Iraq". It sure doesn't feel like that.
But funny and ironic can still be cruel and unwise. Oh well, I'd guess that platoon's "class clown" isn't going to be a corporal much longer.
