I'm very worried about the way due process is being impeded, but is it really that bad of an idea to turn away non-lawyer, non-family people who show up?
Maybe I've spent too much time on healthcare with HIPPA training?
Yes, well, I bet if family shows up, the doors do open right away.
Probably not. In fact, I pretty sure I've read reports of ICE not doing that. But, asking the receptionist to please write down that the community supports the detainee seems like it's just going to make the actual lawyer the detainee gets work harder to be taken seriously.
I guess I've been too hard on the little ICE scamps.
Just walk a mile in their boots.
Anyway, people seem to like dunking on Biden, but when he says foreign and domestic policy are one the OP and this kind of thing show he has a point.

Is there some innocent explanation for that Indian launch gantry?

I mean, the rocket is fatter at the top, but not that much fatter.
I'm not suggesting we send them a fruit basket*, but I'm thinking that acting shocked that the people who are locking up children aren't very open to passing on friendly gestures of support isn't going to help anyone.
* Harry and David have taken to calling my house instead of just emailing me everyday. Now I'm afraid to send pears to anyone.
