Re: Distractions

I'm using an Android app called WhenDidI, which is neutral and decent at statistics.
With my usual nose for quality, it hasn't been updated in two years, but it seems to work fine, and all the storage is local (or just copied to Dropbox or Google Drive), so even if they go out of business I don't need to care for a while.

If anyone has a good app or.... thing for piano exercises please let me know. I'm mostly trying to remember chords, recognize chords and scales at this point but I need exercises.

I'm doing a book with a bunch of two-hand exercises that were actual songs, but it's really frustrating as my ability to recognize individual notes has developed faster than my ability to do chords and left hand rhythm.

I am addicted to my fitbit, which records my resting heart rate every day and various exercise things. Also my weight, though I have to enter it into the app. I find it really incentivizing to improve my exercise and alcohol abstention - both of which have a surprisingly large and direct impact on my resting heart rate. (Last week was good for exercise; not so much for alcohol, especially after Tuesday.)

My fitbit records my weight if I hook the strap to something solid and pull my feet up.

I can't do a single-handed wrist stand, but in theory that should work.

I thought Fitbits were cheaper than Apple Watches, but it looks like they are kind of expensive now.

Can anyone recommend a mouse that I can hold like a pencil, for when I'm annotating the screen during a zoom call or grading a handwritten PDF? I had one but the tip also functioned as a mouse button, and it was hard to master and then I gave it to Jammies.

If your students can't see the mouse, you could get something from the sex toy store next to Four Seasons Landscaping.

They can see the mouse, but they can't bring it to mouse-orgasm.

So the sex toy store is a good idea.

I Love Hue is very relaxing. I just started playing it last week.

Hue is great. I don't even want to advance in the levels; I just repeat the same puzzles (in airplane mode so no ads). Perfect game.

There is apparently a version 2.

My other anxiety blocker is history podcasts. Nothing like learning how Rome collapsed or the plague spread to make today seem totally survivable!

I don't get it. Maybe I need to the phone out of black and white?
