Thank you for doing the barest minimum to help.
Yes, many thanks to Heebie! I still swing by most days, and the topics she picks are usually interesting -- and the ones that aren't for me still get ferocious engagement from others. She's still picking right, keeping the plates spinning.
I concur with ogged's post and Moby's #1.
Thanks, heebie! You've done great work in keeping this community going for all these years.
Thanks heebie!
Thank you, heebie! And thanks for this post, ogged!
I hope we all can continue to jump over sharks for many years to come.
Thanks, heebie! Happy Thanksgiving all!
Huzzah! Yes indeed! Thank you, thank you!
I check out the blog every day. Thanks from the lurkers.
omg!! this is so sweet and lovely. I promise I would not do it if it felt like work.
Also I'm pregnant. It's triplets.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and also the lesser contributors.
I have spent to much time on Twitter, because my response after reading 20 was to look fir the Heart symbol to Like the comment.
Thanks, heebie, for everyone & for putting up my random guest posts.
20: Uh, joke?
Yes! My uterus ran away with my breasts.
Also, I really truly appreciate the guest posts. Please continue to send them in, and please continue to nudge me if I lost track of them, because I am never doing so intentionally.
All your work is hugely appreciated.
And unpaid!
But it's one or the other.
Thanks, heebie! (and thank God you're not pregnant with triplets!)
Thank you, Heebie, and I hope everyone has a great time sitting on the Group W bench.
This post and all the comments are just so right.
Yes: immense thanks to heebie.
As tradition demands, I will also derail one comment early.

According to Expressen. Julian Assange's partner, and the mother of his most recent children, is not a South African called Stella Morris, but a Swede, born and brought up in Stockholm, who was once known as "Sara Gonzalez Devant" avant de se fair connaître comme Stella Morris. I have no idea why anyone should conceal such a thing.

Yay, Heebie! If you weren't keeping up the blog, I would be consumed with guilt constantly about neglecting it.
The Guardian had an amazingly fawning interview with her in October that mentions the change of name but not the nationality. She says she changed it to protect herself and her family while working with Assange, which sounds daft, so they're obviously meant for each other.
"She was born in Johannesburg... her father, a Swede of Cuban heritage, is an architect; her mother is Spanish".
But she may of course be making that up.
Spain is real enough. I've been there.
Not that I noticed. The rain wasn't just on the plain either.
Speaking of South Africa, they have a delightful new Covid variant.
Oh really, Mobes? I was in Spain, and I didn't see you once. Of course I have no idea what you look like.
I look like a Trump voter but with a nicer haircut and clothes.
Warm appreciation for Heebie! And also for the entire Unfogged community -- happy Thanksgiving to all from yet another lurker.
hmmm. Expressen says that her birth was registered in Sweden. All this mystery makes an interesting contrast with the openness of Anna Ardin, the woman he raped in Stockholm, whose memoir of the experience and its aftermath is moving and impressive.
The Guardian had an amazingly fawning interview with her in October that mentions the change of name but not the nationality.
Okay, because I am bored and because everyone is off eating turkey, I just read that interview. What a pair of unsavoury characters.
Re-delurking to say thank you to Heebie, but also to the whole commentariat, you are my imaginary friends in the computer and you keep me company as my part of europe slides into a new stage of this pandemic. The virus is now everywhere, and it feels very different this time. Very jackpot somehow.
Does it feel different? My reaction is more "Not this shit again."
Very late, but thank you, heebie (and commentariat)!
Late to the party but thank you Heebie!
So, so late. (Like a rep-ro-bate.) But thanks for all your hard work, which significantly improves the lived experience of countless (well, some) eggheads across the world!
The latest yet. Thank you, Heebie, for years of mostly-lurking enjoyment!
Thanks Heebie.
A procrastination contest at Unfogged and I'm winning!
That is one of the most underappreciated comedies, imho. Inevitably when I'm on a roadtrip with the kids, I think, "Dad! I'm prairie-doggin' it!"
" I AM NOT A BLOGGER! I ... DO ... NOT ... WORK ... FOR ... THE ... BLOGGING ... COMPANY!!"
