I can't decide if Eggers started with a reasonable argument and ditched it in favor of cutesy anecdotes, or if he started with a lot of jokes and stories and tried to string them into some kind of point. Either way, the Times could have done better.
Yeah, it does have the my deadline's TOMORROW? feel to it. Weird that one of the hip writers of the last decade should end up sounding like a whiny old crank.
