I don't know, Fontana, I think he may be right...in his own way.
The colonization of America began with religious intolerance. Religion in America has played a vital and leading role in keeping that tradition of intolerance alive. They've fought the Lord's fight against catholicism, other branches of protestantism, misegenation, women's rights, and homosexuality. If there's one thing this guy knows, from knowledge passed down to him from his forefathers, who also lived in God's country, it's that there's a right way to be an American, and there's a wrong way. Pansy-asses such as ourselves might be inclined to think that 'American' is an open term. But we are wrong. It is quite well and precisely defined, and I'm sure Mr. Mosley, if asked, would surely be capable of spelling out to you what exactly it means to be an American.
Actually, "Mr. Labs", why don't you fuck YOURself?
The tragedy is American, not just New York. The terrorists attacked everything *America* represents, not just New York.
And Moseley is right, in that the Democrat party IS the party of death: emotional, intellectual, political, diplomatic, physical and social.
The Chuck D quote doesn't change the obvious fact that you are a preening, narcissistic little fratboy.
Allison,
Please e-mail me, because I just realized that my life will not be complete if I die without having had sex with you. In other words, I want to "fuck you," in the nicest possible way.
And even though I'm a Democrat, we don't have to use a condom, so that we can be as fecund and life-affirming as possible.
At very least, send a picture, because right-wing hacks are hott!
Love, Adam
Thr Republican Party, on the other hand, is apparently the party of absurdist bombast.

Allison, I know this world is killing you
but
Sometimes I wish that I could STOP you from talkin' when I
Hear the silly things you say
(maybe she/he likes Elvis Costello better than Chuck D)
Son,
Elvis and Chuck are both fine, and I've met the real Son Volt. And let me tell you, you are no Son Volt.
Adam,
Like any good Republican hack, I'll let you sit in your room in the frat-house with a paper towel and some baby oil and your photo of Janeane Garofalo.
All,
I notice that nobody dealt with my actual contention - that liberal New Yorkers are the ones trying to appropriate 9/11.
And Fontana? My original exhortation still holds.
I notice that nobody dealt with my actual contention
That's because nobody takes you seriously.
Allison made another "actual contention", that the Dems are the party of death, but that's a little too general for me to be able to properly respond to.
"Liberal New Yorkers" as a whole aren't trying to own the 9/11 attacks. They certainly aren't waving the bloody shirt the way the Republicans are.
OTOH, the families of the 9/11 victims definitely seem to feel that the loss was mostly borne by them, and thay they have more right to invoke the names of their lost husbands, wives, children, and friends, than do jingoists a thousand miles removed. But I can't imagine why Allison would object to this, except that at least some of them undoubtedly belong to the "party of death".
