Uh, that wasn't a typo. I don't think it's even technically incorrect grammar. Though my brain could be addled since I have one friend with whom I'm constantly exchanging "please to do x" locutions...
I often say 'please to do' in my head. For me, I think it came from translating Russian phrases back to literal English - sort of a compulsive mental tick.
I'm holding out until w-lfs-n weighs in. In the meantime, I've stopped writing my cover letter for the Salon job.
I'm pretty sure "o' powers that be" is wrong though--isn't "o'" a contraction of "of"? You mean "O."
