Does it seem at all ghoulish that most of the media, including the blogosphere, has somehow allowed itself to be converted to Celebrity Deathwatch? Don't forget the attention being paid to Prince Rainier of Monaco.

You can completely disagree with the positions he took on social issues, and Joe is right.

The Washington Post is broadcasting the mass from St Peter's right now. While you can call it "Celebrity Death Watch", I find it very reassuring- the Italians do religion much better than we do.
