I prefer the parts attacking liberals to the parts fluffling GWB. Right wingers are nothing without the hate.

Shoot them all on sight

Liberal commies

Michael Moore is fat

Like their mommies

It should be noted that 'The Right Brothers,' although they seem very much like a parody, are apparently not. They're a team of professional songwriters, in fact, who write songs for country musicians (they did one of Tim McGraw's). One of them has a repertoire with a great deal less jingo in it, including the songs "Butterflies Don't Lie" by Kaci, "I Just Want Love" by Mindy McCready, and of course, "Mi Destino eres Tu" by Lucero.

"He took our ideas and helped mold them and develop them into tracks we are all extremely proud of," enthuses one of his clients. Something tells me that somebody paid him to take RNC press releases and turn them into tracks that, well, ... anyway, I'm not so sure this is a labor of love on the Brothers' part.

"'Strangers in the Night' in 5/4 time"

I heard a version of this joke with "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries" on Peter Schickele's short-lived public radio show.

For Pat Robertson:

"Take him out" means regime change

Pick him out of the crowd

Buy us a sniper or sneak attack

Cheaper than war like we have in Iraq

Let me root, root, root for a new team,

If it doesn't win it's a shame.

Then it's shock, and awe and decapitation strikes,

In a new war game.

There's an interview/performance recording of Billy Joel, "An Evening of Questions and Answers" where he explains that this is the secret to playing in 5/4. Then he demonstrates: "My funny (fucking) valentine... Sweet comic (fucking) valentine..."
