The portion within quotes reads like a command.
I've lost the link, but one of the articles on this had a subhead that went approx. "Bush shot at ranch in 200x." I did a few double-takes before I realized that "Bush" was the subject of the sentence.
"At least when a friend shoots you in the face, you know where he stands."
It's not as if shooting a man in the face feels better (or even as good) as other places, but it sure can look cool.
In the face, at 30 yards.
Good old ogged. Remember how he was always lamenting how little gay (male) porn he'd had the opportunity to see?
In fairness to Ogged, it's really hard to face the camera and watch the monitor at the same time.
So are there straight or gay women here who find men making out a turnon? (My answer: sometimes, in movies, but there has to be emotional weight invested in the makeout. Porny gay sex does nothing for me. One gay roommate of mine was like (that's for you, apo), "You have to see this one; they're so cute and smiley" and was disappointed when I shrugged it off.)
*raises hand* my friend and i love watching pretty boys (gay/straight/what have you) make out. One word to reveal all my geekiness: yaoi.
(this is K/aryn, btw. i'm just moving to all screen name all the time)
Tia, you're obviously not alone. (And, yes, I agree. You may recall our discussion of Velvet Goldmine.)
Becks, I said "emotional weight" not "emo and underweight." Oh yeah. Velvet Goldmine. But I've never seen that movie, so I don't know if the scene was, like, all emotional or not.
I don't know if the scene was, like, all emotional or not.
It was, it was. Sigh.
My Beautiful Laundrette was a formative experience, back in high school. Mmmm.
There is a good straight-boy-on-straight-boy kiss in Dude, Where's My Car? Not so much with the emotional weight, though.
Loved My Beautiful Laundrette.
Heh. I'm not into emo boys, either, just saying that the existence of the website provides some evidence towards your thesis.
And, yes, emotional. I get always get choked up when they say:
Curt Wild: We set out to change the world and ended up...just changing ourselves.
Arthur Stuart: What's wrong with that?
Curt Wild: Nothing, if you don't look at the world.
Hey, I've never seen any of these movies. Hot diggity.
More grist for the mill: was the delayed reporting on the shooting due to Dick Cheney's Monica Lewinsky?
Hmmm.
I might be misremembering this, but I think Cheney had legal problems associated with gun use in his youth. Does anyone remember anything like this?
Are you thinking of his DWI conviction(s?)? I'm not aware of anything with guns.
I might be confusing him with someone else. Perhaps Alan Simpson? I dunno. Someone out there on the other side got into trouble for shooting out car windows or some such; I thought it was Cheney, but I guess not.
Cheney has DWI's? I knew Bush did but did not know about Cheney.
SCMT -- I kind of think that was someone in Montana.... are you thinking of this, which was an aide to Sen. Conrad Burns?
Dick Cheney also has A History of Violence.
are there straight or gay women here who find men making out a turnon?
What, are you kidding me?
There are a lot of people who say "no," B, and I was sort of curious to see how people might define the circumstances under which they'd say yes. Also, just makin' conversation.
Weiner, I was thinking of someone older. It gets filed in the "Ted Turner/Cheney/?" cabinet.
I affirm that the people who say no are lying.
Dude, stop pulling my pigtails. I called in sick today and I am ONLY NOW having my first cup of coffee.
ONLY NOW having my first cup of coffee
That's awful. I apologize.

Is this the people who are the women who might also not be women? Not that they're not, fer sure, people.
Whoops, gotta go try to watch the Veronica Mars rerun with Joss Whedon bit-part that I mostly missed the first time and that this time I'll mostly yet again not follow because I'm obsessively reading the internets at the same time.
Shouldn't the title continue "And The Part About Just One Beer, Too."?
