Somebody I know shared with me an email invitation received from a self-proclaimed major American periodical launching a blog, in which they said they were doing it even though they were "proud of their resistance to the Internet."

This is what annoys me about the Cole/Drezner brouhahaen. Nobody knows why Cole didn't get hired at Yale, or why Drezner didn't get tenure, but it must be because of Blogging! And Politics!

I didn't get hired at Yale either. I demand a Chronicle symposium!
